Aberdeen Road RENOVATION

Location: Wayne, PA

Architect: Scott McIntyre

Interior Designer: Sara Rea

Project Type: Renovation

Project Description

This stunning renovated home on the Main Line has undergone a complete transformation, preserving its timeless charm while integrating seamlessly with its natural surroundings. The exterior features carefully curated updates, including high-pitched rooflines, elegant copper gutters, decorative accents, and a standing seam pent-roof above the entryway, offering a blend of modern sophistication and classic design. To complement the warm copper tones, bespoke indigo shutters now grace the front windows, adding a striking contrast to the home's exterior.

Inside, the theme of navy blue accents is thoughtfully carried throughout, with standout features like the living room fireplace and kitchen island, which serve as vibrant focal points in the home’s open-concept layout. The modern kitchen design incorporates under-the-counter cabinetry for a sleek and minimalist look, while above, rustic open shelving crafted from rough-sawn lumber introduces an element of warmth and rustic charm.

The luxurious master bathroom showcases a marble double vanity, a freestanding marble tub, and a spacious rain-head shower. The soft, light-gray marble contrasts beautifully with the rich dark wood floors and mixed-metal finishes, creating a serene and inviting space. The blend of modern elements and rustic touches results in a timeless bathroom design that feels both elegant and grounded.

This renovation seamlessly combines modern design with classic architecture, making it a perfect example of how to preserve history while embracing contemporary style.
